John Fahey from the US was a graduate in ethnomusicology in the late 1950's. He was drawn to the folk and blues guitar styles of the Southern states. His ground-breaking instrumental guitar recordings have earned him the title "The Father of American Primitive Guitar", a style that has spawned several generations of fingerpicking guitarists all over the world. |
